It's up to you!
Theresa just opened up her sweet little store called CUTE. Go take a look at her products. You won't find the typical sprinkle or liner. Her name says it all. I get so much of my "special" stuff from Theresa. She also sells her products at Cute As a Button for those who are local to my area.

ReplyDeleteI'm already a follower, and I have already liked you on Facebook! I love seeing what you come up with--your updates are always so much fun!
P.S. Aaron and the rest of the Bandy's say "Hi!"
I'm a follower already! :)
ReplyDeleteTip: Freezing sugar cookies before you bake them is a must! They will always come out perfectly shaped.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Dawn! I'm already a follower and also already "Like" you on facebook (not to mention you are one of my favorite people too). My kitchen tip is: involve your children in your cooking/baking projects. They learn how to cook and it is a great way to spend some quality time while still getting your project done. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeletei'm following you here and on fb... all the way from FL. My sister had followed you on FB and that's how I found you. My biggest tip in the kitchen was taught to me by my mom: Clean-up as you go! This is the best thing I could ever suggest!
ReplyDeletei'm a follower on here:)
ReplyDeleteI follow through Google Reader already but I also follow on Google Friends too, under Lisa B.

Biggest tip? Well, it would be one I learned from Bridget at Bake at 350 this year is to use cold, sliced butter in my sugar cookies. It makes things so much easier and speed up the process. And use vanilla bean paste in them! With the bean specks, makes things so much prettier. :)
ReplyDeleteI have #1 and #2 covered. As for my tip...plan ahead. I do this naturally and to a fault, but it really works in the kitchen. In my little cupcake business, if I have multiple flavors to make I always start with the least "potent" (like vanilla, chocolate, chardonnay, coconut and even fruits like pineapple, pear etc.) and do things more powerful (like mint, peanut butter, banana, and any "high spice" cake) last. Then, make all of your frostings and accompaniments as the cakes bake.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much guys! Keep it coming!!

Tip:
ReplyDeleteI started using just unsalted butter in all of my icing recipes and they really taste so much better and not to sickening sweet.
Following you....check!
ReplyDeleteLike you...check!
Tip...I put my icing bags/bottles in the fridge over night while the first layer drys. I avoid any seperation of the icing that way. Just let them set out for an hour or so before adding final details.

ReplyDeleteI just "liked" you on FB. I'm also on FB. If you get a chance, check it out. The picture is of my logo.
ReplyDeleteTip: I have learned so many over the year with my little cookie adventure. I am self taught so the internet has been my best friend. When baking my cookies, I like to use unbleached flour rather that bleached. I do find there is a difference or it could be me just thinking it's different. I have also at times wrapped my royal icing in platic wrap before putting it in my piping bags. It makes for an easier clean up. Hope that helps. Thanks again for the giveawy!!

Well, I'm already a follower!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have already "liked" you on facebook because you rock.
ReplyDeleteMy tip would be to enlist your husband's help one night to bake/cook with you. I did on New Year's last year and Mark and I had so much fun together that we now save all baking for the nighttime when our boys are alseep. It's a fun way to spend time together, work on a common goal together that has an immediate result, and it's free!
ReplyDeleteAnd P.S. You are better than Oprah. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteI'll also pass on my husband's favorite tip--Stay out of the kitchen when I'm baking!
ReplyDeleteThank-you all for checking out my new Artfire Store! I am adding new products daily. I am offering free shipping on all orders, so please think of me for your party and baking supply needs.

My tip: Don't take on more cookie orders than you want to do. When you're overloaded with orders, the stress begins and the fun is quickly taken out of it :)
ReplyDeletesassysweetslindy@aol.com
My tip is "take your time to decorate the cookies." And I do the same thing "CT Mom" does with oranges ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for great giveaway,
