Fall is close...

So I think it's safe to say that all the kids I know are back to school, including my son.  He's in Pre-K this year and is gone 4 mornings!  It does leave me with some time to bake, but my little Paigey is home with me!

The weather is definitely getting further away from HOT and moving toward what I adore...mild temps and cool evenings!  Emlolly Candy asked me to do some seasonal cookies for the store, instead of their signature candy cookies.  We decided on a back-to-school arrangement and some sunflowers.

Outlined cookies have taken the place
of my love for naked cookies.
I just think they look so cool!

Pencil me in!

Apple of my eye...
And of course, some sparkly ABCs...
If you've never had a SugarChic cookie,
just imagine a thick, soft, not too sweet
shortbread-like loveliness!
The icing is the perfect sweet compliment...
it is solid enough for packaging,
yet it has a softness that is released at
the heat of your bite!  It's vanilla flavored
with a hint of pure almond.
YUM!

Okay back to the designs...SUNFLOWERS!

Are you ready for fall?  Hit me with some fall design ideas!  I'm always open for creativity!

Oh, and GO BUCKS!

  2. Thanks, Meghan. Sometimes I feel like I may overdose on the sugar, but I love it! :)

  3. Dawn, what about doing some OSU-inspired cookies? Fall always makes me think of the Buckeyes. I would think they'd sell great for football parties!

  4. Love these!! Way too cute. Is that a chocolate royal icing in the middle of the sunflower? I was asked to make it and have never attempted it before. Just curious!
